De-watering TOS CL's
Hi All,
Just wanted to go over the procedure for de watering OTS counter lungs.
1st.
Roll slightly to the right, compress the hose going from the BOV to the exhale counter lung then exhale forcefully causing the gunk to go into the counter lung.
2nd.
Go into a head down position, fill CL with DIL and again exhale forcefully causing the vent to open and hopefully get the excess water out.
3rd.
Vent thru the nose any excess gas to stabilize bouyancy.

Leaking electronics fittings
So I had just gotten my head re-wired from JM a month ago and I am doing my Cave CCR class dive #2 today at Jackson Blue, and we notice my fittings from where my electronics wires go into the head are leaking (bubbling). This is all before the dive when we were doing our buddy checks. Electronics are working fine, no problems what so ever. I want to know what the hell I should do, JM is closed for the weekend and I am diving on Monday (tomorrow has been re-scheduled as a lecture day). I am kinda screwed since this wasn't caught at the factory. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Sensor Readings
I use AI cells and just had to replace two. They were not defective just end of sevice life.
I replaced cells 2 & 3 and am getting borderline to high reading on cell #2.
Primary Mv 02 Mv air PPo2 air
Cell 1 58 12 22
Cell 2 63 13 21
Cell 3 55 11 20
Secondary
Cell 1 57 11 20
Cell 2 64 14 22
Cell 3 55 11 21
What do you think, send it back to DRE for a replacement? BTW all 3 read 100% Po2 on oxygen.

DIVA not vibrating
Hi all
I recently encountered an issue with my DIVA and was wondering if anyone had similar problems and/or maybe some hints:
I have a 1st generation HH and during the last several dives my DIVA never vibrated; I did not actively realize it but somehow it came to my mind that I did not feel the buzz for quite a long time.
So it tried some tests to trigger the DIVA: first the stack timer overrun - got blinking, but no vibration.
Than I tried (the more important) pO2 trigger: I did breath the loop down below 0.19 (0.16 / 0.15 / 0.15), got blinking on the handset, backlight and the DIVA blinked, but no vibes. I did the testing with new charged battery at 3.8V (out of the water).
Is there anything that can be done by the user or is this a case of sending the head back to Juergensen Marine or just remove the DIVA from the head and send it? Does anyone know if there is a dealer here in Europe who might be able to have a look?
Thanks for any hints,
Raf

Head Bayonet Checks
I've found several times that the "O" rings in the bayonet fittings on the E Head tend to come out of their grooves, at least partially, when putting the loop hoses on and allow air leaks. Sorta like the "O" rings coming out on a Si Tech glove, if not perfectly lined up. I've caught the problem with the +/- pressure checks, but think the "O" rings may be too small or possibly too soft (i.e., not robust enough).
I realize that you have to lightly grease the rings and the barrels they go in, and put the fitting on perfectly straight, but it still seems to be happening with disarming frequency.
BTW, I'm having the same problem with the fittings for the Remobulator, but the "O" rings (reddish-brown) are actually breaking with the bayonet fitting.
Never once had this happen with the original head and fittings.
Anyone else finding the fittings problematic or is it just me?

Is it possible to use Shearwater as a handset?
Hallo, I'm only a bad translator for my friend (so please excuse my English), he would like to ask if it is possible to use Shearwater CC/TX Predaror instead of Juergensen electonics, as a handset.
He has HH without elektronics and that's why he's searching for some cheap and fully usable solution. Do you think that this handset from Shearwater will be usable?
Thanks for info, nice day!

Hammerhead - Lift handle
Has anyone sucessfully made a good lift handle for this unit, practical when pulling the unit back out of the water and into the boat.
Made a search on the net but found nothing for the HH.

Wing for HH Extreme
Hi guys,
it's time to choose the wing for my new HH Extreme. For training and first dives i have used an Halcyon Eclipse.
Now, besides Golem Gear CCR Wing, do you know other valid options? What wing are you using?
Golem is well done. Question is just to have an overview of what the market is offering and what could be the best choice based on your experience.
Thanks!

Experiences with TrustFire 14500/900mAh, 3.7V Li-ions with Rev D
I see the last posts on this are back in November and I have talked to a couple people running the new Rev D electronics but since there are more units being dove now I was hoping to get a picture of what people's experiences have been in terms of runtime of these batteries. I have the Rev D only on my primary so no Diva and I always manage the setpoint myself so the solenoid very rarely fires unless the lobster is particularly difficult. I realize each person is going to have slightly different demands placed on the batteries based on how they dive/config backlight, etc. so general experiences along the following is all I am looking for:
Thanks,
Adam
- Backlight - Hearing a range of 20% all the time to full for a couple seconds. What are people gravitating to on this?
- Battery warning - Hearing 3.5V to 3.2V with it coming shipped at 3.3V. What are most people running here?
- Runtime - Can see it being slightly annoying to change batteries every dive especially if on a boat. Based on back light settings, etc, what are people seeing for runtime? Hearing between 6 and 9 hours. Switching when the scrubber switches seems reasonable to me but wondering what people have started to settle on.
Thanks,
Adam

New HH Cave Diver Dan Wright
Congrats to Dan Wright for becoming the latest CCR cave diver (2/11/12).
It goes without saying that "retooling" this serious NJ wreck diver into a qualified cave diver speaks volumes for his instructors. Now Dan's a great diver, even with all of those NJ hammers and crow bars hanging off his rig, but you have to figure that Josh and Michael Thornton - Dive Addicts - must have double teamed him this past week to get him cave-ready, LOL. :-)
Nice job guys!
